All fines are payable to the Martin County Court
Administrator, 201 Lake Avenue, Room 304, Fairmont, Minnesota 56031 and should
be paid prior to your court date. If
your fine is for more than one offense, for example speeding and no seat belt,
you should add the total amount of the two fines stated to determine the total
amount owed. If your ticket was issued
in a work zone, you need to call 507-238-3205 and speak with someone from the
Court Administrators office. If a
personal injury accident was involved, you will need to appear at the date and
time indicated on the ticket and you do not need to listen to the rest of this
message.
Fine amounts are as follows:
If your ticket is for speeding from 1 to 10 miles
per hour over the speed limit, the fine is $120.00.
If your ticket is for speeding from 11 to 14 miles
per hour over the speed limit, the fine is $130.00.
If your ticket is for speeding from 15 to 19 miles
per hour over the speed limit, the fine is $140.00
If your ticket is for speeding from 20 to 25 miles
per hour over the speed limit, the fine is $220.00.
If your ticket is for speeding from 26 to 30 miles
per hour over the speed limit, the fine is $280.00.
Speeding in excess of 30 miles per hour over the
posted speed limit requires a court appearance if endangerment is checked on
your ticket. You should report on the
date and time indicated on your ticket.
If endangerment is not checked on your ticket, and you were speeding over 30 miles per hour
over the speed limit, the fine amount is $380.00.
If your ticket is for no seat belt, the fine is $105.00
If your ticket is for disobeyed semaphore or stop
sign, the fine is $130.00.
If your ticket is for failure to use child
restraint, the fine is $130.00.
Again, if you have been cited with more than one
offense, you should add the fine amounts together to determine the total amount
owed. Checks or money orders should be
made payable to the Martin County Court Administrator, 201 Lake Avenue, Room
304, Fairmont, Minnesota 56031.
