This departments primary
concern is the safety and well being of all persons and property in
Martin County. It operates 24 hours a day and 365 day per year and
consists of several major divisions including Administration, Patrol,
Corrections (jail), and Communications. Responsibilities include 911 and
emergency dispatching, criminal investigations, water patrol and dive
rescue, crime prevention, civil process, illegal drug investigations,
patrol, detention and care of inmates
