PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The Martin County Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment will be conducting a public hearing on July 24, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. The hearing will be held in the Martin County Commissioner’s Room, located on the first floor of the Courthouse, 201 Lake Avenue – Fairmont, MN. The following items will be on the agenda:

Conditional Use Permit Request from Shane Kuehl, owner; within Section 9 of Waverly Township.  Shane Kuehl is proposing to expand his current feedlot operation with the construction of a new total confinement building on an existing building site located in an “A” Agricultural District. The Martin County Zoning Ordinance requires a Conditional Use Permit in an “A” Agricultural District for any animal feedlot new or expanding containing over 1,000 animal units.

Conditional Use Permit request from FTC Tower Co., an LLC of Farmers Telephone Cooperative, Inc. within Section 14 of Lake Fremont Township. FTC Tower, LLC is proposing to construct a 300 foot Guyed Wireless Communication Tower for emergency purposes (broadband) and cellular phone communications on a site located in an “A” Agricultural District. The Martin County Zoning Ordinance and the Martin County Wireless Communications Ordinance requires a Conditional Use Permit in an “A” Agricultural District for any new tower to a maximum of 400 feet.  

Conditional Use Permit request from FTC Tower Co., an LLC of Farmers Telephone Cooperative, Inc. within Section 28 of Silver Lake Township. FTC Tower, LLC is proposing to construct a 250 foot Self-Support Wireless Communication Tower for emergency purposes (broadband) and cellular phone communications on a site located in an “A” Agricultural District. The Martin County Zoning Ordinance and the Martin County Wireless Communications Ordinance requires a Conditional Use Permit in an “A” Agricultural District for any new tower to a maximum of 400 feet.
