PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The Martin County Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment will be conducting a public hearing on June 26, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. The hearing will be held in the Martin County Commissioner’s Room, located on the first floor of the Courthouse, 201 Lake Avenue – Fairmont, MN. The following items will be on the agenda:

Variance Request from Center Creek Pork, Inc, Daryl Bartz, owner within Section 7 of Center Creek Township. Center Creek Pork, Inc. is proposing to construct a 48 foot by 100 foot, two-stall livestock trailer drying shed which will be closer than the required setback from the center line of the road in an “A” Agricultural District. The Martin County Zoning Ordinance requires a 200 foot setback from the centerline of any public right-of-way for a new building site effective February 17, 2004 and one hundred and thirty (130) feet from the centerline of any public right-of-way for existing building sites constructed before February 17, 2004. Existing building sites cannot further encroach closer than the nearest present building from the centerline of the road provided greater than 130 feet from the centerline in an “A” Agricultural District.

Variance Request from Curtis & Diane Sanders within Section 3 of Westford Township. Mr. & Mrs. Sanders are proposing to construct a 30 foot by 40 foot shed which will be closer than the required setback from the center line of the road in an “A” Agricultural District. The Martin County Zoning Ordinance requires a 200 foot setback from the centerline of any public right-of-way for a new building site effective February 17, 2004 and one hundred and thirty (130) feet from the centerline of any public right-of-way for existing building sites constructed before February 17, 2004. Existing building sites cannot further encroach closer than the nearest present building from the centerline of the road provided greater than 130 feet from the centerline in an “A” Agricultural District.
