MARTIN COUNTY RECYCLING & SOLID WASTE SERVICES
Martin County Solid Waste Program offers recycling, solid waste and household hazardous waste disposal opportunities. They include curbside recycling, rural recycling services and solid waste services available through licensed solid waste haulers.

Appliances and Electronics:
- Prairieland Solid Waste Management – Truman, MN accepts appliances and electronics from 7 – 11 and 1 – 3, Monday through Friday. Please check in with the office upon arrival. Be prepared to pay with cash or check. The disposal cost is $15 /per item. Call for details at 507-776-3232
- Hometown Sanitation - Fairmont, MN accepts appliances and electronics – Call for details at 507-235-5665
Garbage:
- Prairieland Solid Waste Management – Truman, MN accepts private loads from 7 – 11 and 1 – 3, Monday through Friday. Please check in with the office upon arrival. Be prepared to pay with cash or check. There is a minimum charge of $40.48 or up to 1,000 pounds of garbage. Above that weight, the rate is based on $75 per ton. Prairieland does NOT accept construction debris, shingles or tires. If you are in need of a dumpster or roll-off container service, waste haulers, licensed by Martin County are listed on this webpage.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW):
Household Hazardous Waste: The Martin County Household Hazardous Waste program collects HHW from May through September. The program is CLOSED and will re-open in May 2023.
